Family Medicine with Obstetrics

Dr. Shea Burkett is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing

comprehensive, compassionate care to patients of all ages. She believes in building lasting

relationships with her patients and promoting wellness through preventive medicine and

personalized care.

Dr. Burkett earned her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in

Lubbock, Texas. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at UT Health in Athens, Texas,

where she served as Chief Resident in 2024.

Dr. Burkett joined Lakeland Medical Associates in 2024 and provides full-spectrum family

medicine care in Athens, Texas.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Burkett enjoys speed puzzling and spending time with her family,

friends, and cats.
