Renessa Gerhardt, MD
Dr. Renessa Gerhardt earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock,Texas, and her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine in Galveston, Texas. She completed her residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
Dr. Gerhardt joined Lakeland Medical Associates in 2021. Her dedication and service have been recognized through numerous honors and awards, including the Military Warrior Support Foundation Award (2019–2020), the William C. Levin, M.D. Presidential Scholarship (2016–2017), and the Raimer Presidential Scholarship (2013–2014).
She is also a decorated U.S. Army veteran, having received the Purple Heart (2007), Combat Action Badge (2006), Soldier of the Deployment Award with the 630th Military Police Company (2005), and the Global War on Terrorism Medal (2005).
Dr. Gerhardt is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Henderson County Medical Society.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Gerhardt enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, participating in CrossFit, traveling, camping, cooking, reading and playing with Ranger my dachshund.
